目的　基于某樣本縣新農合信息系統的明細記錄，系統分析該縣2009～2010年參合農民因疾病和死亡外因住院治療及補償情況。
方法　通過新農合管理信息系統獲取該縣全部住院患者相關記錄數據，并根據ICD-10編碼對每一例住院患者的出院診斷進行疾病歸類和分組處理，并采用SPSS 17.0軟件進行統計分析。
結果　2009年和2010年，因疾病和死亡外因住院的參合患者分別占住院總人次的17.4%（7 913/45 432）和20.7%（12 568/60 643），居住院疾病譜首位，主要為動物咬傷和意外傷害。其住院費用中新農合補償部分占20%左右，有超過半數的患者（2009年59.6%，2010年66.8%）能在鄉鎮衛生院接受治療。
結論　動物咬傷和意外傷害等疾病和死亡的外因是該樣本縣農民面臨的主要健康問題。
